Bona Notitia Foundation

Bona Notitia means “good news” in Latin.

Our mission is to support the development of local communities with a particular focus on two areas: local media and the small and medium-sized business sector.    

The Bona Notitia Foundation was established in June 2020, and was registered in the National Court Register on September 14, 2020. Among the founders was the Tipmedia Group Ltd. which has been active in the local media industry in Poland and abroad for years. One of the reasons for establishing the Foundation was the desire to share the experience gained in this field and to implement educational and training projects that would contribute to strengthening the sector of local publishers and broadcasters. We want to achieve this, among other things, through activities that improve the knowledge and competence of those working on their behalf. We are close to the idea of cooperation between different entities: media, NGOs and academic units.

One of the foundations on which media operations are supported, in turn, is their financial independence and stability. This is often difficult to maintain, especially for entities operating in smaller markets with a very local character. Hence the second area, related to supporting the SME sector, is also important to us. Local entrepreneurs acting as advertisers can be an important element in fostering the independence of newspapers, portals, or radio and television stations. We want to support them, too, by offering professional training and consulting services.

We would not be able to do this if it were not for our network of partners, both national and international. Together we can do more.
